So here’s what my car would sound like with a Magnaflow exhaust system.

I’d ask for my money back after that.
![]() 05/25/2015 at 18:25 |

It’s an improvement from “Is My V6 A Diesel?”
![]() 05/25/2015 at 18:43 |

Sounds a little bit flat and possibly a little bit farty.
And tell that person to remove that damn tow hook.

How long has Honda had the same door chime?
![]() 05/25/2015 at 18:49 |

Save a couple hundred bucks
![]() 05/25/2015 at 18:50 |

I don’t mind the sound. It’s a $900 performance exhaust kit versus a fart can.
I’ll get on that.

My dad’s 2015 Fit makes different sounds.
![]() 05/25/2015 at 18:54 |

Are you auto or manual?
![]() 05/25/2015 at 18:54 |
|
Auto, unfortunately.
![]() 05/25/2015 at 18:57 |

Ah, I was going to say that it might be a little funky at higher rpms.
Just watch out for drone, droneza a bitch.
![]() 05/25/2015 at 18:58 |

I rarely go above 4,000 RPMs anyway.
![]() 05/25/2015 at 18:58 |

Bro do you even VTAK?
![]() 05/25/2015 at 18:59 |
|
Bro, early-2000’s Honda V6 transmission.
![]() 05/25/2015 at 19:00 |

I think my dad’s late 1990s accord had that and my mom’s 2012 Pilot does.
![]() 05/25/2015 at 19:01 |

Oh shit, I forgot about those.
How many miles are you at? That way I can predict when it goes ka-boom.
![]() 05/25/2015 at 19:02 |
|
107,000. To be honest, I’m pretty sure the previous owner had that taken care of a long time ago.
![]() 05/25/2015 at 19:03 |
|
That’s probably a good thing.
What are you thinking is going to be your next ride?
![]() 05/25/2015 at 19:05 |
|
Either a Subaru Baja or an imported Celica ST205. Something that will survive the Washington winters.
![]() 05/25/2015 at 19:08 |

Yooooooo, I have an idea. Hold on......
![]() 05/25/2015 at 19:13 |

Same goes for the NSXs and S2000s.
![]() 05/25/2015 at 19:16 |

OH GOD, WHAT HAVE I DONE.
![]() 05/25/2015 at 19:21 |

Wow. You fail.

Yaaaaaahhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh
![]() 05/25/2015 at 20:57 |

Apexi or bust.
![]() 05/25/2015 at 20:59 |

Cheap but loud exhaust and some fresh home brew? I’d say it’s a better deal.
![]() 05/25/2015 at 21:10 |
|
FoST with magnaflow has a deeper exhaust note than a V6 Honda?
![]() 05/25/2015 at 21:16 |
|
As far as V6s go, the Nissan/Infiniti VQ sounds great.
![]() 05/25/2015 at 21:44 |
|
Don’t be that guy
![]() 05/25/2015 at 21:45 |
|
Oh yeah.
If I straight-piped my car, it would sound like a GT-R.
![]() 05/25/2015 at 21:47 |

Naah the Hoonda will be a track toy eventually. Just don’t have the monies.
![]() 05/25/2015 at 21:50 |

Track toy accord? And how does one hoon a FWD without McDonalds meal trays?
![]() 05/25/2015 at 21:52 |

Wow, I have no words.
Hop in an Integra Type R and come back to me.
Hop in a BTCC race car and come back to me.
Realize the new Civic Type R lapped the ‘Ring faster than a Ferrari 430 F1 and come back to me.

“Hop in an Integra Type R and come back to me.”
Have, was fun in grocery store parking lots.
“Hop in a BTCC race car and come back to me.”
Race car, even lada’s in race car form are fun!
“Realize the new Civic Type R lapped the ‘Ring faster than a Ferrari 430 F1 and come back to me.”
Do you realize how far tire technology has came in the last 7 years?
Not saying FWD is boring, but an accord? not quite known for the such. I mean, it’s possible. With a lot of work.
Like my STi. I could build it into a fast car. But in the end, it’s just cheaper to buy V8.
![]() 05/25/2015 at 22:08 |

My point is that FWD is extremely capable of setting the world on fire. All I need to do to my Accord is install a limited slip differential and it will be just fine on the track.

“My point is that FWD is extremely capable of setting the world on fire.”
Wouldn’t go that far....

Is faster than this

Once again, tires.
http://jalopnik.com/honda-says-a-c…
Honda says it had “a standard state of engine tune, with suspension, drivetrain, exhaust, brakes and the aerodynamic package identical to those of the production Civic Type R.” It dumped the air conditioning and added a roll cage , but otherwise that was it. The tires come from “a major European tire manufacturer”; Honda left that information specifically vague.
Take the nissan GTR
!!! UNKNOWN CONTENT TYPE !!!
Now with street tires (newer model, more HP)
!!! UNKNOWN CONTENT TYPE !!!
Why? Tires. Older car, less power, faster than the newer.
Also, nurburgring lap times are useless as we all know. Cars ran on different days, different track / weather conditions. And with the ring being as long as it is turns this into a big issue. No independent timing officiating party. The manufacturers almost never run “factory” cars.
So it’s all marketing bullshit.
Get back to me when the type r comes out, well see how many tracks it best the F430 at then.

Seems to me like you don’t want to stop hating on FWD for whatever reason. To make you happy, I’m gonna stop wasting my time on you. But I’ll leave you with this:
it doesn’t matter the configuration. As far as this argument is concerned, the drive train matters. And frankly, a FWD Civic bested a RWD Ferrari on the toughest road course in the world.
![]() 05/26/2015 at 11:39 |

I don’t hate FWD. I dislike misleading facts.
That and the accord is the equivalent of a toyota camary.
This is explains why the accord perplex’s me
